Principal Lauren Bill’s love and passion for the performing arts started at a very young age, prompting a dedication to her dance training, which continued into her further education. After completing a BTEC in Performing Arts (with a triple distinction) and A-Level in Dance, Lauren continued her dance studies at the University of Surrey where she gained a BA Degree in Dance and Culture and performed with Ballet Rambert. The following year, Lauren gained a place at the prestigious Chelsea School in Brighton where she completed her PGCE in dance education. Having taught dance in London schools, Lauren returned to her home town of Weymouth as a freelance dance teacher, delivering workshops to schools and youth groups across Dorset. Lauren also performs in a professional remit as an actress in Rummage Theatre, taking a leading role during their 2012 and 2013 appearances at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Lauren was also a lecturer in Dance and Performing Arts at Weymouth College.
Lauren takes enormous pride in being Principal of such a hugely talented school with so many committed and dedicated young people. Seeing each child and young person grow in confidence week after week is a huge honour for Lauren and is a huge part of what Razzamataz Weymouth is all about.
